Well, Episode 3 has hit the market. Picked up six retail packs. Here are the results and initial review...
6 packs, 7 cards each B Base cards (good info on the backs) B+ Wrappers (lots of words, little image) B- Tatoos 1,9 of 10 C+ Stickers 3,5 of 10 B Etch foil 6 of 6 B(just like Heritage & Galaxy) Embossed Foil 6 of 10 A (impressive ) Hologram 1 of 3 B- (animated image)
Overall B Base set modeled after AOTC series 1. Base is a mix of profiles, storyline, and technology. The retail release is loaded with exclusive chase. There is one more level of inserts, the motion card. The hobby version has sketch cards, and I think, motion and foil cards. Happy hunting. This message has been edited. Last edited by: H_Toser,

I picked up 2 'mini' boxes (6 Packs per box). Here are the inserts that I received:
6 retail packs. 3 from a box 3 came in 1 of 6 different tins 2 stickers 2 and 8 2 foil 1 and 5 2 tattoos 2 and 10 2 bonus cards from tin card #A and card #1
Hmm, seems all breakdowns for this ROTS set are all retail packs. I thought hobby boxes were also released at the same time?

I bought a set of 6 retail tins, which had 3 packs each, plus the tin card, plus one of the exclusive story line cards...so 18 packs + the 6 loose cards:
6 Tin cards: A-F 6 Exclusive Story Cards 3, 4-(2), 5-(2), 6
102 common cards...no where close to a complete set. Had probably 3 or 4 packs with 2 chase cards in them....niiiice.
I've got 2 hobby boxes due in on Thursday, then I just need to track down the retail blister packs for the 3 'B' cards...and then that stupid Wizard magazine promo.
It is my understanding the hobby & retail 6 etch foils are the same, but the 2 morph cards are different.
Any retail wrapper variations? The mini-box wrappers are pre-priced at $1.99.

The blister packs are everywhere here. I have seen them at 3 different chains.
I still need one of the 3 bonus cards so I will be buying a couple more. already have 1 duplicate that will be up for trade shortly.
I was hopeing that the tins each contain the exact 2 "special cards" in each differnt tins. I saw in an above post this is not the case. Drat. Needless to say, this is the first "retail" product that I have had FUN with in a long time. Since I am not a sketch card fan this is great. The tins are nice, even though they add 4 dollars to the price of 3 packs. If anyone gets a final checklist on everything, post it on cardtalk, I would love to know what I am missing.
My son (age 5) loves the tattoo and stickers. So far I am up to 3 tins, 3 2 pack blisters, 3 packs from retail box= 18 packs total
Here is what I got..so far 3 tin cards a, b, c 1,2,6 story card 3 2 pack blisters b2, b3, b3 6 tattoos stickers 2, 3, 4, 4,6 foils 1, 5, 6 etched foil 5, 8, 9, 9 morph 2 holograms 2, 2, 3 22 inserts from 18 packs and the set is nice too. Lots of detail. Only catch I have 9 card number 78. That means 1 out of every 2 packs has had this card in it!

Including the Hobby case card Morph card there appears to be 5 total. Not sure about the hobby one though.

I found ROTS blister packs at a local Wal-Mart. I got lucky because one of the Blisters had 2 different bonus cards in it so I only had to buy 2 blisters at $3.97 each to get the set of 3 bonus cards.
The same Wal-Mart also had a full 24 pack box on the shelf.
Where are people finding the tins?

Found the blister packs. It was easy to discern the three bonus cards. Haven't seen the tins in my area yet.
I bought 2 of the mini boxes, 1 pack and 3 of the tins. No morph cards, but about the same as everyone else. The Mini boxes have differnt price markings on them Wal-Mart and Target. I've found two differnt wrappers, 1 has $1.99 on it and 1 doesn't. The Hobby will probebly have an "H" on it?. I'm hoping to get the other three tins tomorrow . And maybe that Hobby box One of my tin cards is misprinted on the back, is Topps good at replacing these cards?
