Notes :
- Nowhere near a base set (but with a 100 card set and a max of 120 base cards in the box not really surprising)
- Costume card pack consisted of 1x Costume card, 1x foil card + 1x base card
- Limited damage from cuts on edge of foil cards
- Cards themselves are similar to the same company's The Saint or The Prisoner
- I much prefer the base cards to the foil equivalents
- Yes I will get another box just to see if this was a rogue
- However I did get a Straker costume card and a Straker auto

Intresting that you prefer the base to the foils, i remember people saying that about quotable xena.

Too many Michael Billingtons

After 3 boxes, I still have not been able to make up a single base set ( 13 cards still to go )

After 3 boxes, I've 37 of the Parallel Foils still to find

The more of these type of breakdowns i read the more i am glad that i do not buy boxes.

I opened 6 boxes and pulled 12 Billington autographs. Welcome to the club - wanna trade .
I have to be fair - I also pulled 2 each of the costume cards.
Not really a motivating experience.

I did see on one of the other topics that Cards Inc had only released half the stock due to collation problems and the rest would be released in September.Guess this bears that out.

Did the box guarantee a full set?You might want to contact Cards Inc regarding the breakdowns you have had.

I think this is correct and that Cards inc are aware there is a problem and are putting it right.
If you got 12 Billingtons from 6 boxes then there is obviously a big problem and i would contact the company now.

At least the base sets won't be cheap!!! but no base set from 3 boxes is poor, contact Cards Inc and tell them

I know 30 boxes break down to only 25 base sets.
But the auto collation stinks in these breakdowns.

Failing that, hang onto them as I severely doubt there'll be ANY Billingtons in the second release. You can then sell your 'stash' for a huge profit...

I got a reply about the collation from the retail division of the card producers :

"Thank you for your email. We are aware that there was a problem with some
of the boxes. Please contact the retailer you purchased the cards from and
they should be able to help you out."

asked at the NEC and they said they didn't know what they are going to do but admit there is a problem, so well see.

Looks like Micheal Billington was busy signing cards .

I did not speak to anyone at the Cards Inc stand at the NEC as most of the people I know were not there(I know at least two of them are on holiday) but I did see one of the other dealers at the show returning a case of UFO over the counter.

To be fair there are no per box guarantees just an overall ratio over the run ( 1:12 for autos, 1:12 for Future Fashions and 1:48 for costume )...it is just so frustrating after the massive delay on this set.

So after 5 boxes, I'm still short of these Parallel cards
4, 5, 10, 19, 22, 24, 32, 39, 40, 41, 42, 46, 50, 55, 56, 59, 73, 76, 80, 83, 84, 85, 93, 99, 100

So thats 25 of the 100 parallel set still to get


and more worryingly there are these base cards still short
005,022,038,043,070,087,097

So thats 7 of the 100 base set still to get

The base set collation is not good - there are clumps of 3 of the same cards in multiple boxes

Notes to self :
1). Collate wants and haves list for trades
2). Avoid all future Cards Inc products - shame because they have good people like Annie working there
