Fantastic collation…It really cannot get any better! And although I didn’t get any a Gillian Anderson Auto or the Gillian Anderson Auto/Pieceworks Card, I was able to pull the Autos of Annabeth Gish and Mimi Rogers; two of the ones I also wanted.

Highly agree, nice-looking set. Two boxes. I've been pretty lucky with my pack pulls from Inkworks boxes, but this time I came out average: two normal autos and no pieceworks.

Boxes have 24 packs of 6 regular cards, minus inserts; plus one parallel card with the "XC" prefix on the numbers.

Base card collation was "perfect" within the constraint that you can't get two complete sets because a few cards are displaced by inserts.

Box 03480
Auto A-8: Bruce Harwood as John Fitzgerald Byers
Pieceworks: none
Boxloader: BL-1
2 of 9 Mulder's Secret Files: M-1, M-2
2 of 6 Haunting Cases: HC-3, HC-4
24/72 parallel cards (no dupes)
Base cards: 139, expect 1.93 sets on average
- one complete set: 1(5) 2(67)

Box 03482
Auto A-3: Mimi Rogers as Diana Fowley
Pieceworks: none
2 of 9 Mulder's Secret Files: M-6, M-7
2 of 6 Haunting Cases: HC-1, HC-6
Boxloader: BL-3
24/72 parallel cards (no dupes, only 1 duped from first box)
Base cards: 139, expect 1.93 sets on average
- one complete set: 1(5) 2(67)

I opened my box today, here's what I ended with...

1 full base set, many extras. I think I'm probably missing 5 cards for a second base set.

24 different parallel cards (no duplicates)
2 Mulder's Secret files cards (M4, M5)
1 Haunting Case Card (HC4)
1 box loader (BL3)
Gillian Anderson Pieceworks card (PW-1)
Annabeth Gish autocard (A-2)

I've had a great day!

These cards really are fantastic, and I will definetly be chasing more boxes!

Picked up two boxes at Wizard World Philly.

Box 01233
Auto A-5: Chris Owens
Pieceworks: PW-2
Boxloader: BL-3
3 of 9 Mulder's Secret Files: M-6, M-7, M-8
2 of 6 Haunting Cases: HC-2, HC-3
24/72 parallel cards (no dupes)

Box 01238
Auto A-4: William B. Davis
Pieceworks: none
Boxloader: BL-2
2 of 9 Mulder's Secret Files: M-5, M-6
2 of 6 Haunting Cases: HC-5, HC-6
24/72 parallel cards (no dupes)

It's a very nicely done set with some great photos on the front and back. One thing that I did find strange was that the base cards were printed on silver foil board. The previous two "Connection" sets, Charmed and Buffy, were printed on holo-foil board. This doesn't affect the attractiveness of the base cards because of the use of the color on the background. However, the parallel cards which lack the color don't seem as "special" on just plain silver.

I actually like the parallel cards being on just plain silver. It makes the pictures stand out just a little more. And the pics are really great. I especially like the boxloader cards, they turned out great.

Does the text on this series pull together the underlying plot of the series? If so, how clear is it? If not then what?

Thank you Smile

Actually it does through the relationships of the key players as you can see on the checklist card. I would think as well as can be done for nine years in a 72 card set. What do others think?

O.K. guys...here's what I got.

Box#02201

1 full set ( 4 cards shy of a 2nd)
24 Parallel--no duplicates
Informants:BL-1
Haunting cases: HC-2
Mulder's Secret Files: M-8, M-9

A-8 Bruce Harwood
No Pieceworks

All in all..I was happy with what I got. I thought I might get one more of the haunting cases where everyone else has had such great results, but oh well..anyway I was exited with not having dups of the parallel cards.

It does help illustrate the themes. Of course, it ends up focusing on the later years of the series, which I guess is understandable when you have subsets for Doggett and Reyes. A quick check shows that the seasons' representation on the base cards worked out like this:

1(7) 2(4) 3(1) 4(7) 5(7) 6(5) 7(3) 8(14) 9(23)

A lot of the weird characters from one or two episodes are a lot of the fun of the series, but this isn't the type of set. Wait for "X-Files Big Bads", "The Women of X-Files", and "The Men of X-Files". Smokin'
