Nobody has posted on this yet?I got my first box last week but was away for a few days. Got my second box today. Here's what was inside boxes 0780 and 4700.

Each box contained:
1 complete set of Quantum of Solace
37 extra base cards
1 Gold parallel of Quantum of Solace

4 Retro Spy Who Loved Me
4 Retro You Only Live Twice
4 GoldenEye Color retro cards
1 Gold parallel GoldenEye card

1 Skyfall card, I got DL22 and DL25

My 4 autographs:
Colin Stinton A239
Jeremy Bulloch Full Bleed VL
Caroline Bliss A263 L
Dolph Lundgren A271 VL

A nicely done base set, the retro cards are too scarce, it will be almost impossible for most collectors to complete these. It would be nice to include a retro card in each pack, at least. Happy with my autographs, like h Lundgren best.

I think your box break down perfectly shows up why there have been no box breakdowns.

You're right, this is not a product that will do much in an AVERAGE box. Nevertheless I did buy one box only, just to give it the old try at hitting a good autograph card. I did not, but that is the chance you take.

Got DL25 and 2 gold, 16 and 98, from Goldeneye and QOS, along with 8 retros, 4 each from YOLT and TSWLM. Don't care for these B/W sets. I know they are retros, but the films were made in color.

The two autographs were Anthony Forrest and Rachel Grant, Bomb Disposable Officer and Peaceful Fountains of Desire. Can't recall either one. Big Grin

Well done on the Moore, cool card, but everyone knew the odds going in and that 12 boxes would yield...
- 48 of 78 You Only Live Twice throwbacks cards
- 48 of 93 The Spy Who Loved Me throwback cards
- 48 of 102 GoldenEye throwback cards
- 12 of 14 Skyfall expansion cards
- 12 of 90 Quantum of Solace Gold parallel cards
- 12 of 102 GoldnEye Gold parallel cards

You were never going to make any sets with just one case, so if that was one of your main criteria, why did you buy it? Confused

I wanted a Christopher Lee and maybe a few others autos I needed. A friend bought a case as well and we still dont have sets of anything but the base set and 1 skyfall set. $1400 should get us at least one set.

That just about sums up the state the hobby has got itself into. A few years ago it would have been unthinkable that this situation could exist.

Wolfe, is that why you stopped spending more than £5 on a set ? Big Grin

Well, there are dealers on eBay, and off eBay, selling "sets"/mini-masters (base, ALL 3 throwback sets, Skyfall updates, and case card) for under $250-$300.

Throw in a Christopher Lee bought on the secondary market, and more than few other cards you might like, and I think it's pretty fair to say you can "put a set together" for A LOT less than $1400.

If you wanna gamble on sealed product, you have to be prepared to take the case that doesn't have the biggest hit. If it's about value for money, just buy what you want for so much less.

Anyone know if all the Spy Who Loved Me throwback cards are in black and white?

I've seen some sets go for $73 or so online.

I went with a mini-master set for this release, as I found that I was paying too much for boxes and packs with the 2014 Archives release, but making very little headway on completing the retro sets. I figure this way I get all the main cards I want and can spend more time searching for autographs. Money-wise, I will probably come out about the same, but without a stack of duplicate base cards that I will never be able to turn into those $2.00 sets.

Opened a couple of boxes of this. My first box opening in a long time.

Definitely pleased with what I got out of both boxes.

Maud Adams full bleed (VL)
Shame Rimmer 40th (L)

and

Yvonne Shima full bleed (EL)
Christopher Neame 40th

Not my favourite Bond film by a long way, but a nice card set nonetheless.

I opened box 0375, and here is what it had inside:

1 base set
1 Quantum of Solace gold parallel
4 You Only Live Twice throwback set
4 The Spy Who Loved Me throwback set
4 Goldeneye cards
1 Goldeneye gold parallel
1 Skyfall expansion, #84 Heroes & Villains
Autograph card A260 Carl McCrystal
Autograph card Yvonne Shima (EL)

I was pleased to beat the odds and pull an extremely limited autograph card out of that box.

2) YOLT throwback set need 7 cards to finish set

3) TSWLM throwback set need 36 cards to finish set

2) Roger Moore

3) Joe Don Baker

4) Dolph Lundgren

5) Nadja Regin

6) Maud Adams

7) Caroline Munro

6) this is where is get's kind of strange. According to the rittenhouse web site you are ment to get 1 QOS gold parallel card and 1 Goldeneye gold parallel per box then why is it that I ended up with 48 Goldeneye gold parallel cards from my 2 cases

From a very bemused millhouse

opened a case and pulled this very disappoint lot of autographs. Not 1 EL auto in the whole case. It would have been cheaper to buy this stuff on e-bay piecemeal and I wouldn't have any stuff I didn't want.
