I have two, but am not sure which one is the promo. Is it the chrome one or the non-chrome one? I lean toward the latter...

So far as I know, none of them are promo cards. The rare chromium version was given only to those who redeemed their winner cards very early on. Later followed the non-chromium version.

so then is the promo clearly marked? I;ve never seen it I guess. I can not recall seeing it anyway, but I must have.

I know nothing about these cards, but the question did come to mind:
Wouldn't the Talking Promo Card be the one that...well...talks? (Sorry, but I couldn't resist this.) Can you please clarify for those of us not in the know here? |

it was available through a redemption card. It's about a quarter-inch thick and has a place that says "press here" on the back. when you do as Clark Gable instructs, the card has a recorded message.
I have heard of a promo for it and never actually seen one. I thought maybe I have both. |

Update: I am not sure whether there exists a promo card for this set. However, there is a talking promo card for the ABBOTT & COSTELLO set. It's a talking card with an image of the famous duo but when you play the press here message it says "frankly my dear, I don't give a damn" which is the sound chip for the Gone with the Wind talking card from the same company.
I was told that less than a handful were distributed because soon after getting the talking "promo" version, they received the talking card from the factory with the real sound bite "HEY-Y A-a-bbott!". Does anyone have any further info on this? ____________________ |
