I just recently found a Star Wars magazine from 1995, I believe, with a few promos in it. One was an exclusive hildebrandt brothers promo card. Is this a good promo. It is still in the original magazine plastic, is it worth leaving it in there or opening it?

I suppose the answer would depend on which item you're primarily interested in preserving; the magazine or the cards.
If you're interested in preserving the magazine, you would leave the polybag unopened with everything inside it. There are magazine-size storage bags into which you could put the magazine. I'd recommend also using a magazine-size backing board. If you're interested in preserving the cards, you'd remove the cards and protect them as you see fit. That might include a penny sleeve and a top loader or a more secure plastic holder. Most card collectors are interested only in the cards, so the magazine really isn't all that important. You might offer it as a bonus, should you ever decide to sell or trade the cards. |

Thanks, I'm gonna just preserve the cards.
