Anybody know if this lenticular card was for the original release or for some re-release? And also where it was given out?

I allways thought it was given out at the Disney store prior to the films release.

Thanks wolfie... it's pretty old then. I wish they had done the entire set in lenticulars. It's one of the nicest I've seen.

It was handed out by Disney Store employees ONLY on HALLOWEEN day 1997. I remember taking my then 2 little ones to a store all dressed up at that time. It really is a beautiful card and brings back sweet memories.

But the back of the card promotes the film as being in theaters.

The film came out in 1989. How could it have been given out in 1997 ?

The original release date was November 17, 1989. It was re-released in the US on November 14, 1997. The card is from the re-release.

So the card was given out at US disney stores for one day only ( Halloween 1997 ) to celebrate the re-release of the movie into cinemas.

Pretty much sums it up I believe I could have sworn that the release had been earlier as I took my eldest neice when she was barely out of diapers and now she's full grown. I was chalking it up to losing my mind in my old age and that no matter how old they are they're still babies to me.

They gave these out at our Disney Store for a couple of weeks. I had a bunch and still have about a half dozen in one of my boxes
