That is probably the toughest Disney promo to find, rivaled only by the Lion King SB1 (which, arguably, is easier to obtain).

David,

Do you have an SB1 for trade? I traded this to Paul for a Little Mermaid Pop-up promo, and have 1 more I may be willing to trade for the right card/cards.

David,
Paul from the UK had that exact card at the October Philly show. He offered it to me for $500 US and I laughed at him. I offered him $250 he laughed at me. I think Greta may still have one.
But I have not heard from her in almost a year.
Hope all is well.

Michael, she has the larger version, the one that is 5 x 4.5 inches. This was the regular sized one.

Ken, did you get my email ? Please contact me.

Ok, you've forced me to get out my trusty ruler since I was the winner of the Paul Hart auction. The card is exactly 5 inches wide but the top of the card is not flat. It is actually an arch where you see the words A MAGICAL PARTNERSHIP. The card starts out at 3 inches tall at each end and measures 3.5 inches at the apex of the arch. So, I don't see how this could be the "regular card" unless the large card is really large. Hope someone knows for sure. John Mc

PCE says that there are two versions-- a normal/standard sized card and a 5 x 4.5 version

Hi David,

I did get your email, but wanted to make sure I could find the card before I responded. Have some year end issues at work, so I haven't had much time for those sorts of things.....

The card that Paul sold was definately the larger of the two. I held on to it for years hoping to trade for the smaller, but was unable to locate one. Are you looking for the larger or the smaller?

To the best of my knowledge there are 2 different cards issued not a smaller version of the same card-this is what i remember from the 2 cards mark macaluso had a number of years ago.

I actually saw the two sized versions at his house way back when I documented those cards in PCE. They certainly exist.

Mark sold both of his to a collector in California. I'll see if I can get a scan of the smaller one from him.

The plot thickens...... ( a lot)

I was able to locate a former Disney employee who was at the meeting between Disney & Upper Deck on August 10, 1995 where these cards were handed out. She was very surprised to hear that any of these had made it into general circulation.

I was able to obtian another of the larger card from her, and just received it yesterday.... The wording on the back of the card is different than the one I have!

My Card (source unknown): "THE UPPER DECK COMPANY IS PROUD TO JOIN THE MAGIC KINGDOM AS THEIR TRADING CARD LICENSOR..."

Her Card (given out at the 8/10/06 meeting: "THE UPPER DECK COMPANY IS PROUD TO JOIN THE MAGIC KINGDOM AS THEIR PROSPECTIVE LICENSEE....."

Since both cards are dated August 10, 1995, I would guess that 'My Card' was a mistake that was corrected before the meeting between UD & Disney. I'm not sure if we'll ever know which one is more rare....

I'll try to get both backs scanned & posted.

Ken
