Yeah, I was able to gather that info from the card. But I can not find anything else. Unfortunately that link is no help, but thanks all the same.

The Girl Trading cards 20 card set

Nope it is not part of the set, at least as pictured there.

It may be the promo for that set, or a unfinished card, were they have not printed the image in the G yet.

Dan,

That is what I am thinking too.

And this post makes my 3000! About time! Smile

well, your card is dated 1996 - which was never issued, FantaCo went out of business before the 1996 set could be released, so you either have a prototype or part of an unreleased print run

for "The Girl" card, try contacting Ted Watanabe - the owner of the site. Email me if you want his email address or telephone number.

Carl Barks, Promos?
They are from 1995 Gemstone Publishing Inc. Carl Barks and the lines on the front of the cards are done in gold foil. They are numbered P1 thru P4. Does anyone know anything about them other that what's printed on the cards.

They look like comic inserts to me. Wasnt Gemstone the company that produced the Disney Comics in the 90s?

Hello,
I collect Marvel cards.
I've seen this Marvel Vs System Alex Ross over-size signing/promo card only once on Ebay.
It's the only one I'm missing. And I hope no one minds me saying at this time, that I have others for trade for this card.

I'm posting this here to verify I have my info correct.

I believe it was given out at WWC in 2005.
Is this correct?

OK, I have a card and was wondering if anyone knew anything about it. It is a prototype of Gone With The Wind. The back is in B&W and is copyrighted "1991 WTE".

The front of the card is a painting of the two main stars from the film in each others arms and has a black bar going diagnal along one corner with the word "Prototype."

The back also says prototype, Gone With The Wind 1939, and "For Promotional Purposes."

I have not seen this card in any guide. Does anyone have any information?

thanks,
Happy Jack

Sounds like its the unnumbered card from the series Movie Posters (see page 102 of current PCE or page 89 of 2005 PCE)which consists of 20 numbered cards and 1 unnumbered card with a blue text back and a red text back making 42 cards in all.

regards

John Levitt

Yep, that's it! It's the one with the blue on the back. Thanks John!
