Well, unfortunately these are fakes. Here's the answer I received:
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. These are Hong Kong bootleg stickers…..most likely from vending machines. I can pretty much confirm there are 49 to the set as I have had several pass through my hands, and always come up with 49 different. I have a full set of 49 that I was going to put up in my Ebay store for $40. That should give you an idea on these. Here is a photo with a number checklist: http://starwarsimages.home.comcast.net/~starwarsimages/....htm#HKShinyStickers Mystery put to rest for good. Thanks to all of you who chimed in. ____________________ |

I should expect it, but it still surprises me how much "outer rim" kind of stuff is produced. It's great that you were able to definitively identify them

Sorry, haven't looked around here in a while.
Yep, these are all bootlegs from Hong Kong. There are 49 of them in the set. I tried to make complete sets of each hologram variation, but once the supply started drying up at prices I was willing to pay and other new sets came out, I stopped. I have some dups, not sure which box though. ____________________ |
