I am interested in sending out some SASEs to get promos. I am wondering the approx. weight of a toploader and card. Or how much do I have to send on stamps for one envelope? I am currently visiting in the US and a prompt response would be helpful, so that I can buy some stamps. Thank you!

The weight probably isn't a issue. However, the toploader makes the envelope contain a "rigid object" which is subject to a surcharge of $0.20, at least in the US. Thus, sending an SASE will cost $1.24 ($0.62 for the mailing envelope, $0.62 for the return envelope). If the SASE goes out of the country, the rates will likely increase substantially.

Guess I should note that First Class mail weighing one ounce or less (which should include the toploader and envelope) is $0.42. The 20-cent surcharge makes up the $0.62 as noted above.

Hope this helps, or if anyone else has other information, please join in....

If you use a semi-rigid card holder, you can still ship it at .42 US....
