The Jack the Giant Slayer movie from director Bryan Singer (X-Men, Superman Returns) is being promoted at the Carl’s jr / Hardees restaurants. The current toy promotion (Hotel Transylvania) has no connection, but I did get a plastic cup promoting the film juts this past weekend (it features only the giants – no image reference to the main lead actors). The cup is made with the same quality typical of the ones seen previously at these chains, Subway, and Burger King. The question is: are there any other promos associated with the film at these restaurants? I read a recent article that suggests that while the Giant Slayer film is good and well-received (preliminarily) by critics, it’s still expected to be crushed financially by Oz the Great & Powerful the following week so if there ARE collectibles to be had, they may not last long.
