This morning I took my Jetta TDI to the local Volkswagen dealer for its 30,000 mile service. While waiting I took a stroll through the new car showroom where I found a new set of VW collector cards. The copyright date on the cards is 2007.

The cards are postcard size (4" x 6") and are printed on nice glossy card stock.

There are eleven cards in the set. Ten numbered cards with photos of different Volkswagens, and one unnumbered checklist/title card. The complete set comes in a celophane wrapper.

The set consists of the following cards

003 - 2007 Farenheit GTI
004 - 2007 Jetta Wolfsburg
005 - 2008 R32
006 - 2007 Passat Wolfsburg

Volkswagen has done at least one other set of cards in the past couple of years. The one I remember was done around the same time the New Beetle was re-introduced. They do a really nice job with their promotional cards.

This set of cards is still available at Volkswagen dealers in the U.S. In the past year three additional cards have been released.

The 2008 GTI & GLI card is a lenticular. When viewed straight on you see a white GTI. When the card is tilted slightly you see a black GLI.
