Greetings all,

I just got the Twin Peaks Gold Edition DVD set and inside were 13 different "Greetings From Twin Peaks" post cards. They came in a nice little envelope and are all numbered /61 so there's a set to build.

Looking at the checklist, there's also parallels of seven cards limited to 160 copies and David Lynch autographed copies of the same seven limited to 16 copies each and three wild cards.

Here's the checklist: http://www.greetingsfromtwinpeaks.com/media/postcards/t...ks-postcard-list.pdf

Good luck with this one.

Are the dvd-extras the purchase worthy?

Do the backs of the cards look like postcards with the vertical line divisor and the area for the postage stamp? If not, then these cards really blur the line between post cards and trading cards.

If you remove the term "post card" from the description, this certainly sounds like the description of a trading card set; 61-card base set, parallels, and an autograph card.

The backs do look like a postcard complete with area for stamp.

But I agree, the mentality of card collecting is definitely blurred here. I checked eBay and didn't see any listed so it looks as though it's going to be a tough set to build as the DVD is a little pricey just to be buying to get some cards.

I honestly haven't watched any of it yet. I'm more after the show myself. But the picture is remastered completely and the pilot is included which I don't think has been put on DVD in North America yet from what I can gather.

If you're talking about the postcards, good luck. They seem to be selling for about $5 per postcard - some higher. A lot of four I was watching finished at over $40!

But the show is amazing. I've been obsessing over it all weekend.

I was talking about the dvd set. Are the postcards a store exclusive or are they in all of the Twin Peak dvd sets?

Found this info at a Twin Peaks blog:

-There are 61 different basic postcards

-There are 7 different gold foil parallel postcards (These 7 are repeats from the basic set with the only difference being a gold border on the card)
There are 560 cards total. 1 for every 107 boxes.

-Gold foil parallel postcards signed by David Lynch (Lynch signed all 7 gold foil parallel postcards 8 times each)
There are 56 postcards total. 1 for every 1,072 boxes.

-Wildcard postcard (This is a postcard of David Lynch)
There are 80 postcards total. 1 for every 750 boxes.

-Wildcard gold foil postcard (Same as above only with the gold border)
There are 35 postcards total. 1 for every 1,714 boxes.

-Wildcard gold foil postcard signed by David Lynch
There are 4 postcards total. 1 for every 15,000 boxes
